Invisalign is an advanced orthodontic system that straightens your teeth using custom-made clear aligners to gradually and gently shift your teeth into place instead of brackets and wires.

Frequently Asked Questions About Invisalign

How much does it cost for Invisalign?

The cost of Invisalign depends on the severity of your orthodontic issues and the number of aligners you need for treatment. Most patients have treatment costs ranging between $3000 and $7000, with the lower end of the spectrum being for more minor issues that require a shorter duration of treatment.

How long does it take to straighten your teeth with Invisalign?

This, too, depends on the extent of the orthodontic issues we are correcting. The range is usually between nine and 18 months, with most patients averaging around a year to complete treatment. Of course, because Invisalign only works when your aligners are being worn, if you take them out often and leave them out for extended periods of time, you can expect your treatment to be extended.

Which is better, braces or Invisalign?

There are some orthodontic cases where braces are either the only option or a better option for treatment. Assuming you have a choice between braces or Invisalign, both systems are effective, so it comes down to personal preference. How much does it matter to you to have a discreet treatment option? Are you paying out-of-pocket? Do you like the idea of having the ability to remove your aligners or do you dislike it?

What happens if you don’t wear Invisalign for a day?

Nothing! When you don’t wear your aligners nothing happens—because your teeth aren’t moving. It’s only when you wear your aligners that your teeth are slowly shifting into their new positions. Wear your aligners everyday so they’re doing their job.

Do I have to wear Invisalign forever?

You don’t have to wear Invisalign forever, but once your treatment is done, you’ll need to wear a retainer to maintain your results. First you’ll wear it all day, then nighttime only, then only a few nights a week.
