As a board-certified orthodontist, Dr. Carr’s expertise includes braces, Invisalign® clear aligners, early orthodontic treatment, retainers, and care for orthodontic emergencies. She combines advanced training with a thoughtful approach to help each patient find an appropriate treatment option for their needs.

Originally from Mitchell, South Dakota, Dr. Carr has deep roots in Minnesota. She completed her undergraduate, dental, and orthodontic education at the University of Minnesota and today calls Eden Prairie home.
As part of the Lake Minnetonka Orthodontics team, Dr. Carr cares for children, teens, and adults throughout Minnetonka, Wayzata, Excelsior, and the surrounding Western Metro communities. With three convenient offices, she has the opportunity to build relationships with local families and help generations of patients feel at home while receiving orthodontic care.
Education, Training, and Professional Attributes
After earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics and Cell Biology from the University of Minnesota, Dr. Carr graduated with honors with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the same institution. She further pursued her education at the University of Minnesota, completing her specialty training in Orthodontics and obtaining her Master of Science degree.
Her commitment to the profession also extends beyond patient care. Dr. Carr is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and has served as president of the Minnesota Association of Orthodontists. Additionally, she maintains memberships in the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Minneapolis District Dental Society, helping her stay connected to the broader dental and orthodontic community.
